Inclusion Manager (SENCo)

UPS (Depending on experience)

Part-time (2 days per week)

Required September 2017

Due to the retirement of our Inclusion Manager, the Governing Body are looking to appoint a qualified, experienced, enthusiastic and caring person, to join our highly dedicated team, in our fully inclusive school.

The successful applicant will have responsibility for:

Managing and monitoring SEND throughout the school in consultation with
staff and parents.

Being an effective communicator and the point of contact for all external agencies, including the LA and Health Professionals etc.

Leading the LSA team throughout the school, including time tabling, organising training as appropriate, running weekly LSA meetings and completing PMRs.

Monitoring class provision maps and data to ensure that interventions are cost effective and the SEND profile are making good progress.

Preparing all necessary documents and reports, ensuring they are relevant and accessible to all and that deadlines are met.

Being part of the Leadership Team, bringing knowledge of SEND, pupil progress and provision evaluations to meetings.


Delivering a shared commitment to equality of opportunity for all members of our school community.

Assessing whole school needs and delivering interventions to address them.

Ensuring that pupil premium children are well supported and making good progress.

Information about the School

Nazeing Primary School is a community school for children aged four to eleven years. The school is situated in Essex near the border with Hertfordshire. Most of our pupils come from the village of Nazeing and a small, but increasing number come from the nearby towns of Harlow and Waltham Abbey.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
