Pay: Leadership scale 6-11

Due to the promotion of the current post holder, the governors, staff and children are seeking to appoint an inspirational, creative and highly motivated deputy head teacher. This post is an exciting opportunity for anyone aspiring to headship and involves a mixture of class teaching and leadership.
If you have:
· Excellent classroom practice, with high expectations of learning and behaviour, in early years and key stage 1, leading to outstanding outcomes
· The ability to work in partnership with the Headteacher and leadership team to support the strategic development of the school
· The leadership skills to lead learning and teaching, to motivate and enthuse staff
· Recent, substantial and proven senior leadership skills with experience in school improvement, performance management, monitoring and self-evaluation
· Excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to working in partnership with parents, governors, our community and other local schools.
· Good organisational and inspiration skills

Information about the School
Barnes Farm Infant School is a school for 4 -7 year old children in Chelmsford, Essex. We have a wonderful team of staff, active and informed governors and supportive families who all help the children to be safe and happy and to make exceptional progress. It is our aim to make sure that all members of our school community are supported and feel included and valued.
The children are divided into classes according to age. Children will progress through the National Curriculum on an individual basis with appropriate individual educational plans being provided for children with special educational needs and for gifted and talented pupils.
