We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Trust Governance & Compliance Officer to join our Central Services team at Keys Co-operative Academy Trust to work 22 hrs 30 minutes per week. (Term Time Only + 1 week in the Summer Holidays).

The hours will be 9:30am to 2:30pm, Mon-Fri, Term Time only (39 + 1 weeks per year).

Based on 44.7 paid weeks per year the actual salary would be £17,959 to £19,389. Pay Award Pending April 2024.

The Trust Governance & Compliance Officer will act as the governance professional within Keys Co-operative Academy Trust, providing administrative and secretarial support and take a lead on risk and compliance for the Trust.

Additionally, there will be a requirement to provide clerking on an hourly-paid basis on top of the annual salary. Clerking will be for a minimum of 12 trust board meetings per year (10 hours paid per meeting). However, the Trust may look to outsource clerking of trust board meetings in the future.

Meetings take place between 16:00-18:00 (2 hours) and the remaining 7 hours of preparation/administration will need to be undertaken outside of normal working hours.

Additional Clerking: £17.60 - £19.00 per hour for clerking (£176.00 - £190.00 per meeting)

Additional £2,122 to £2,280 for 12 required meetings per year.

In line with recommended practice in the statutory guidance "Keeping Children Safe in Education", the school will conduct searches for information on shortlisted candidates which is publicly available on-line. The purpose is limited:

Information about the School

Keys Co-operative Academy Trust are a small Academy Trust located in Essex. We currently have two Alternative Provision schools, serving Mid and North East Essex and a Special School in Brentwood. Our Trust is based on Co-operative values which guide and inform the ethos of all of our schools.
