Classroom Learning Support Assistant, to start Autumn Term 2024 (2nd September)
27.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8.45am to 3.15pm (including 1 hour lunchbreak) term time (39 weeks)

It is also a great opportunity for someone wanting to develop their teaching support skills including training to become an HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant able to teach classes when the teacher is needed for, for example, leadership work).
The successful candidate will work in partnership with the class teacher (initially in Year 2) to support learning in line with the National Curriculum, Code of Practice and school policies.
Ideally candidates will have:
· Experience working with children in a primary school setting
· Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
· Knowledge of ICT to support learning (including use of Word, PowerPoint and use of internet)
· Good organisational skills with the ability to be flexible and work well as part of a team
· Willingness to attend to pupils' personal needs including help with social, welfare and health matters, including minor first aid
· An empathetic, kind and caring nature
. Desire to develop teaching skills and achieve HLTA status
