CARETAKER
Required 1st July 2024
12.5 hours per week, Term Time only (+ 5 non pupil days)
Working pattern: Monday to Friday 6.45 a.m. - 9.15 a.m.
Actual salary: £6806 - £6920
We are seeking to appoint a reliable, hardworking and trustworthy individual to join our team as Caretaker, who can ensure that our children have a safe and secure place to learn and play. The successful candidate will work in partnership with our Site Manager.
You will be
- flexible in your work
- have good general maintenance and DIY skills (for example, decorating, carpentry, plumbing)
- have good communication skills
- take pride in your work and be able to use your initiative
Ideally you should also have an awareness of COSHH, safe manual handling practices and Health and Safety requirements. Prior experience in a similar setting is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided. A full driving licence and use of own car is essential as you may be required to attend outside of normal working hours. Myland Primary School is ideally located close to the A12 for good transport links.
Duties will include unlocking the premises, being a primary key holder, maintaining stocks of materials, light maintenance duties and general porterage.
