The Trustees of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Multi Academy Trust wish to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational leader who is passionate about inclusive learning. The successful candidate will be supported by a strong and supportive leadership team who share the school's vision of providing high quality learning opportunities. As Assistant Headteacher you will oversee the strategic development of the Trust's SEND and Inclusion policy, ensuring that every child has full access to the curriculum in order to succeed in their learning.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding practitioner, who can aspire and motivate children to achieve their full potential
  • Be able to ensure that there are effective systems of communication within the Trust concerning the pupils' needs and progression
  • Work effectively and support the Leadership and Trustees to strategically lead our school forward
  • Direct and supervise support staff and, where appropriate, other teachers
  • Liaise with the Leaderhsip Team to ensure an inclusive and innovative curriculum for all children and those with SEND and other needs
  • Manage the team of learning support assistants and support teachers in the development of their inclusive practice.
  • Work alongside external agencies, parents and professionals in supporting the child
  • Be the designated teacher for SEND children and will maintain a teaching commitment.

Experience as a SENCO/INCO and a further post-graduate study in SEND and Inclusion would be desirable, although full training and support will be provided.
