Job Description
This is a great opportunity to work 16 hours per week, 11am - 2pm, with an additional hour starting at 10am one day a week, to complete a deep clean. This position will cover both our Dunton Park and Dunton Fields nurseries, which are a stones throw from each other.
The role will include assisting our chef with preparing, cooking and serving home cooked healthy meals for the children, transporting meals to our sister nursery. General housekeeping roles such as moping, sweeping, hoovering, washing bed sheets, deep cleans, online food shops and providing a safe and clean environment.
Job Role
· To take sole responsibility for the cleanliness of the kitchen, including but not exclusive to floors, surfaces, cupboards, fridges, freezers and oven.
· To ensure that all food online ordering is completed by Friday afternoon and be responsible for all food and cleaning equipment ordering.
· To ensure that food ordering is kept within nursery budget and there is low food wastage.
· To keep records of food served, cleaning done, fridge and freezer and food temperatures.
· To assist/prepare all food and serve
· To ensure that the dietary requirements of all children is known and understood. Liaison with room leaders is essential for this.
· To ensure that all records are kept up to date including but not exclusive to daily menu sheets, food hygiene record book, fridge and freezer temperature records, food probe temperatures. In addition, be responsible for monitoring and controlling food and household goods.
· To liaise with management on a regular basis regarding any food issues.
· To ensure training is kept up-to-date.
· To keep a safe and clean environment.
· To support with the nursery washing which includes bed sheets, blankets and soft furnishings
· To change food bins and ensure the waste is being disposed correctly
· To ensure all floor surfaces are clean
In house training will be provided to support the paperwork requirements to meet the food hygiene standards.
Applicant must have drivers License and own car to transport food between Nurseries.
