Team Leader for Mathematics

The Role
This is an opportunity for an outstanding maths practitioner to have a role in leading the direction of a key area of the curriculum in a large secondary school. The successful candidate will likely already have some experience of leading a key stage within maths or other middle leadership experience and will have an evidencable ability to inspire students and staff to achieve their best.
We are keen to hear from applicants who themselves have excellent mathematical knowledge but coupled with the skills and creativity to make the maths curriculum accessible and aspirational for all students regardless of starting points.
Maths is a popular subject at Shenfield High School with both maths and further maths at A level in addition to GCSE further maths and GCSE statistics at KS4 from September 2024. Potentially, we are looking to supplement the already extensive maths curriculum with Core Maths in year 12 from September 2025.

The school is conveniently located close to Shenfield mainline station on the line into London Liverpool Street and home to the eastern terminus of the new cross rail Elizabeth Line.
