                 Chalkwell Hall Junior School is a happy, highly achieving school with well-behaved children and friendly staff.
 We are looking to appoint a Breakfast Club School Assistant to assist with caring for the children who attend our popular Conkers Club.
 Do you have a Childcare qualification and experience working with children? If so, we want to hear from you. The hours will be 7.30am - 8.30am Monday-Friday, term time only.
 Responsibilities include:
 Delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
 Providing comprehensive care for the children.
 Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
 Administering first aid when necessary.
 Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
 Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
 Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
 Working within the framework of the club's policies and procedures.
 Desired Qualities:
 Experience of working with 3 to 11 year olds
 Understanding the varied needs of children and their families
 Understanding the issues involved in the delivery of quality play care
 Understanding the issues of equal opportunities
 Provide and facilitate safe and creative play
 Good communication skills
 Ability to work as a team member
 Sound judgement and common sense
 Experience of working within a play-based setting
 Appropriate child protection training
 Paediatric First Aid Certificate
 Food Hygiene Certificate
