Scale 5, point 9-12 (£23,194 - £24,496 full-time equivalent)

37 HOURS PER WEEK - MONDAY - FRIDAY (could be negotiated)

Do you have a passion to help Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs of our pupils? Work with a team of professionals who put pupils needs first.

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor to work with children and families. As a Learning Mentor you will work alongside our SENCO and Senior Leadership Team to support identified children and families. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join Fawbert & Barnard's.

We are looking to appointment someone who will:

· Promote consistently high expectations of all pupils and support them to make good progress by offering targeted academic and pastoral support.

· Identify pupils or groups of pupils who are facing learning difficulties and put initiatives in place to address the barriers to learning they are experiencing.

· Support our children with their mental health, behaviour and social and emotional needs to enable them to improve their academic success.

· Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and improving skills, and model this to all pupils.

· Engage with staff and the school leadership team to put whole-school strategies in place to support the learning of all pupils.

· Liaise with families and develop good relationships with parents/carers, becoming a recognisable and approachable contact within the school.

· Support the physical and emotional wellbeing of pupils, encouraging confidence and self-esteem through listening to them.

· Work with pupils and parents to improve attendance.

· Be a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

· Be the school's well-being champion and young carer ambassador
