NEMAT is a recently formed (September 2013) Multi-Academy Trust comprising two secondary schools in North Essex working in close partnership. Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form, a National Support School, is the approved DfE sponsor of The Ramsey Academy, Halstead.
Due to the promotion of the current headteacher to a larger Essex school, NEMAT seeks an outstanding senior leader to maintain and build on the strong trajectory of improvement at The Ramsey Academy, Halstead. The school was placed in special measures in May 2012 but, with the support of NEMAT, emerged with an Ofsted judgement of good in July 2013. Projections of student numbers are rising rapidly and the strong team of governors, staff and students are ambitious to continue the current momentum to provide a truly excellent school for the community of Halstead.
This is an exceptional opportunity to make your mark at the forefront of educational improvement in Essex. You will receive strong support from the Academy Trust Board and the Local Governing Body and will work closely with Simon Thompson, National Leader of Education and NEMAT Executive Headteacher, to sustain and secure the current rapid improvement at the school.
