Colne Engaine CofE Primary School
Location: Colne Engaine C of E Primary School, CO6 2HA
Hours: 10 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. Permanent Contract.
Salary: Scale 3, Point 5-6. FTE £25,583-£25,989. Actual Salary £5,768.64 - £5,860.09
We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and self-motivated Caretaker to join our friendly team at Colne Engaine, a small and welcoming primary school. This is a vital role in helping maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the school premises are clean, safe, and secure at all times.
Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance.
Manage heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
Complete weekly and monthly maintenance tests.
Oversee site security.
Monitor stock levels and order cleaning or maintenance supplies as needed.
Liaise with contractors and report any major issues to the school leadership.
What We're Looking For:
Someone who is flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the school.
A person who can manage their own time efficiently and work independently.
Practical skills in DIY and basic maintenance.
A friendly and approachable attitude.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
