After 6 successful years at our school, our current deputy is moving on having secured her first headship, which means we are now on the lookout for someone new, an individual who has the skills, energy, drive and passion to help us to realise our goal of achieving an ‘Outstanding’ grading in our next inspection.
Belmont Castle Academy is a school which has already achieved a great deal of success particularly in the recent years such as; two consecutive ‘Good’ Ofsteds, Excellence in Early Years ‘QuILT award, ‘Artsmark’, ‘Healthy schools’, ‘Investors in Families’ as well as recognition from the Deputy Prime Minister himself about how well we are supporting our Pupil premium children.
The new deputy will be joining at an exciting time when teaching has never been as strong with virtually all lessons judged good and with an increasing amount outstanding. We have also recently introduced an innovative book focused curriculum as we believe it is through this approach that we are able to achieve one of our key aims of ‘developing a love of reading within our children’. We try to make every child’s learning experience as exciting and stimulating as possible, this being evident not only within the classroom environments but also around the school generally including the outside. The role will be non-class based.
Ideally we are looking for someone who;
• Is an outstanding role model when it comes to Teaching and Learning
• Has proven skills as a leader along with the ability to inspire others;
• Is passionate about enabling children to achieve their very best;
• Has thorough and up to date knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 and 2 Curriculum.
• Is flexible, organized and yet creative in their approaches;
We can offer:
• A very supportive, dynamic, professional team;
• Well behaved, enthusiastic children whose behaviour is good (some outstanding);
• A fabulous learning environment both internal and external;
• An innovative approach which is leading to results.
• A Governing Body that fully supports all the work that the school does;
We are committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to the receipt of a satisfactory CRB disclosure and qualifications check.
