The Christus Catholic Trust seeks to appoint a cleaner (or cleaners) who is highly committed, enthusiastic and hardworking to join the caring and dedicated team at St Joseph's Catholic Primary, Stanford-le-Hope, Essex.

Cleaner/s to provide early morning/evening cleaning. No experience required as training will be given to the successful applicant/s. Hours of work are flexible: full-time post (6hrs) 6am - 9am and 3pm - 6pm OR job shares of 2hrs or 4hrs may be considered within the full-time hours. Candidates should indicate their availability in the application (full 6hrs, 4hrs or 2hrs).

Working days to include term time and non-pupil days. In addition, you will be required to work some school holiday dates (school holiday hours may be flexible to suit school and personal needs in consultation with the headteacher). We offer a generous annual leave allowance of 25 days, which rises to 30 days after 5 years' continuous local government service for full-time employees. The allowances are pro-rata for part-time workers.

Working as part of a team, the candidate/s must have a flexible approach to the role. Duties will include general cleaning of all areas of the school (classrooms, toilets, corridors etc). The successful applicants will be required to clean to a high standard within the allocated timescales.

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School and The Christus Catholic Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and other pre-employment checks. You are required, before appointment, to disclose any unspent conviction, cautions, reprimands or warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
