We are looking to appoint a keen subject specialist to assist in driving forward the strategic direction and development of the Mathematics Department in conjunction with the Head of Faculty, with particular emphasis on Key Stage 4 and Statistics.

We are looking for an inspiring colleague passionate about leading departmental success by delivering outstanding classroom experiences and maintaining high standards of support, stretch, and challenge for all students and staff.This post is suitable for a practitioner who is keen to enhance their experience by leading KS4 in an innovative department.

The start date for this post is 13th April 2026, but a September 2026 start may be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Maths KS4 & Statistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Strategic Direction: Assist in driving the strategic development of the Mathematics Department, specifically focusing on KS4 and Statistics.
  • Curriculum Leadership: Plan and sequence the curriculum for KS4 Mathematics and the Statistics GCSE (training provided on curriculum, sequencing, and assessments if required).
  • Monitoring and Achievement: Collaborate with the Head of Department to actively monitor achievement and progress across KS4 Mathematics and Statistics.
  • Professional Development: Work alongside the Head of Department to prepare and deliver effective departmental CPD, coaching colleagues and helping staff evaluate the impact of their teaching on student achievement.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and consistency of assessments through sampling and moderation, and support the implementation of effective interventions.
  • Departmental Support: Contribute to the development of the Department Improvement Plan and assist in resource and budget planning.


What We're Looking For:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • The ability to teach Maths across the full attainment range in years 7-11.
  • The ability to track and analyse performance data to inform curriculum planning and intervention.
  • The desire, knowledge and skills to motivate staff and students to raise attainment and achievement at Key Stage 4.
  • A passion for teaching and making a real difference to young people.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
