We are seeking to appoint a caring, supportive and exceptional LSA to work with children initially in EYFS and Key Stage 1. In addition a flexible approach towards the following roles in school is essential:
• 1:1 support - working alongside a specific child supporting their learning during the school day, using an IEP, targets and resources to stimulate learning and progress, reporting to the teacher. A sensitive, caring and understanding approach is essential.
• Interventions - working regularly with a child or small group to master a skill or acquire knowledge, often following a programme but adapting to need where appropriate; assessing and reporting progress of children.
• Class-based - working at the direction of the teacher with small groups of children on focused learning activities. Using your positive, initiative-taking approach being able to challenge and motivate all children so pupils are stimulated and keen to succeed. Good communication skills and being an adaptable team player with a good sense of humour will always help!
