We are looking to appoint a friendly Assistant Cook to support our catering team at lunchtimes. The successful applicant will be postive, hard-working, reliable with a good sense of humour and share our school values.

Main duties will include assisting in the preparation and serving of meals at lunchtime, managing use and care of equipment, ensuring staff and kitchen hygiene requirements are met and any other reasonable tasks are met as directed by the Catering Manager.

This position is for 25.5 hours,Monday to Friday 9am - 1.30pm, term time only.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, adaptable and committed. A good sense of humour, flexibility and willingness to be part of the team are also essential attributes.

Catering experience is preferred. Training will be provided.

This position will be Essex Schools Pay Scale 3, points 4 - 5.
