Senior Design & Technology Technician - Scale 5 points 8 - 11

37 hours per week/ 39 weeks per year (Monday - Friday, term time + inset)

FTE £20,852 - £22,129 pa (actual £17,796 - £18,886)

Following the senior technician joining our teaching staff, the D&T department is now looking to appoint an organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual. Previous experience of working in a DT department or a relatable industry environment would be beneficial. A good knowledge and understanding of the materials used across D&T is essential. Our department covers food, textiles, woodwork, metalwork, electronics, engineering and construction. The successful candidate will have line manager responsibilities for our food and textiles technician.

The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, knowledge of CAD, as well as using a laser cutter and 3D printer would be beneficial, training would be provided for the right applicant. Experience of working with children aged 11-18 is desirable. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with pupils and staff is essential.
