We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated person to join us on a permanent basis as soon as possible.

This is a term time only post to work 39 weeks of the year, including non-pupil days.

The successful candidate will be required to provide efficient receptionist and PA duties, and some administrative support, within the main office. They will be required to work on their own initiative, work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure.

Excellent organisational and IT skills are required and good interpersonal skills are a must.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Key Information for candidates regarding terms and conditions:

Hours per week: 37 hours to be worked over five days (Monday to Friday).

Working pattern: 8.00am to 4.30pm from Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 4.00pm on Friday (with a one hour unpaid lunch break every day).

Working weeks per year: 39 weeks during term time, including non-pupil days.

Location: The post is based in the school.

Start date: Required as soon as possible.

Pay: The post is paid on Essex Schools' Local Government Pay Scale 4, point 6 (within range 6-7). The full time equivalent pay for this Scale is £20,043 when working 52.14 weeks per year. The actual salary for this term time post based on the hours and weeks worked outlined above will be £17,106.13 per year. These figures include the holiday pay entitlement for someone with less than 5 years' service. Holiday will be deemed to be taken during school closure periods. There is no entitlement to take holiday during term time. Employees are paid monthly in twelve equal months per year.

Probation: All individuals new to employment with the academy/academy trust/Essex County Council will be required to satisfactorily complete a six month probationary period.
