Title of Post: Swimming Instructor, Fixed Term to cover maternity leave

Start Date: September 2022 to Aug 2023

Hours: Between 6 and 6.5 hours to be confirmed with timetable changes

Wednesday Morning Session, Afternoon Session

Friday Afternoon Session

Salary Scale: Hourly rate £17.55 per hour including holiday pay

Responsible to: Headteacher

Purpose of Job: To teach swimming to a high standard for children from Foundation Stage to Year 5

To plan and prepare lessons using agreed school formats, ensuring they are in line with school policies and the National Curriculum
Teach lessons according to the individual needs of pupils, having high expectations and setting challenging targets, including pupils with additional needs
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all children
Keep up to date assessments on the development, progress and attainment of all pupils
Recording and reporting assessments in line with school assessment policies

Individual to hold a current National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches.
