We are looking for an individual who has:

  • experience of working 1:1 with pupils with learning needs
  • experience of working with children who have SEN
  • experience of working in a primary school setting in particular within EYFS/Lower KS2
  • experience and has a creative nature and a sense of fun
  • high expectations for all children and effective communication skills
  • a desire to work within a team to ensure development and progression

The role:

  • Develop positive relationships with pupils
  • Be proactive within the learning environment and show initiative in moving learning forward
  • Adapt practice to suit the range of learning needs and be flexible within the role
  • Provide regular feedback on learning and development
  • Consistently follow agreed behaviour management strategies
  • Use positive encouragement and praise to develop our core curriculum aims of communication, responsibility, aspiration and a growth mindset within our pupils

Prince Avenue Academy and Nursery is a two form entry primary school with a 52 place nursery. Occupying a large site close to the A127 with extensive grounds and facilities, we are part of the South East Essex Academy Trust (SEEAT).
