Brentwood County High School are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to join our team. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic leader who will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching, making learning both engaging and challenging.
The successful candidate will lead on safeguarding and inclusion for all students and be the Designated Safeguarding Lead at Brentwood County High School. You will effectively line manage and develop key staff involved with inclusion providing an outstanding provision and intervention for students. You will work in collaboration with the Deputy DSL ensuring the safeguarding of students is effective and student wellbeing remains the top priority for the school.
As a member of the school Senior Leadership Team, you will positively contribute to the strategic running of the school in collaboration with the Headteacher. You will support and promote Brentwood County High School in becoming the first-choice school for parents and pupils. You will be a model of professional behaviour for all staff within the school and will provide support through CPD, where applicable to the role, to ensure that inclusion and safeguarding are key priorities across all areas within the school.
You will have proven successful leadership and management skills as a senior leader or Assistant Headteacher. Evidence of successful line management of both teaching and support staff, and the ability to form good working relationships with parents and the wider community. You will also have an understanding of consistent approaches to behaviour management and have record of successful classroom teaching at secondary level.
