Foreign Language Assistant
12 hours each week to be worked over 3 days
Salary: Actual £5,401.41 - £5,903.04 per annum (pro rata of £24,464 - £26,736 per annum)
We require a Foreign Language Assistant specialising in French to join our Modern Foreign Languages department at this highly successful sixth form college. There is currently a team of 4 assistants responsible for different language areas - eg French, Italian, German and Spanish.
You will be required to attend College for 29 weeks during the period from September to May each year. Incorporated into the pro rata salary calculation is entitlement to 22 days annual leave plus 8 days public holidays and 2 statutory days.
The successful applicant will be expected to take up post from September 2022.
The French Teaching Assistant will be a fluent French speaker, excellent communicator and team player. They should be committed to helping students to develop their oral fluency and be prepared to support native and non-native students of French in their preparation for the oral part of public examinations (A level).
