Southend East Community Academy Trust (SECAT) and Shoeburyness High School wish to
appoint an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to lead our Business and Economics Department.
Business and Economics are amongst the most popular subjects within our school with nearly 400
students choosing to study within the department.
This post is suitable for an experienced leader or for an inspirational individual who is ready for their
first leadership position. The successful candidate will join the leadership of the Maths, Business and
Economics Faculty and will benefit from the support and guidance of other leaders within this team
and beyond. The ability to teach both subjects would be an advantage, but it is more important that
applicants can teach at least one to A Level and are able to support the curriculum development of
both.
Shoeburyness High School is a large, vibrant and diverse secondary school that has an
excellent reputation as a warm and supportive environment in which to work and learn. We
are a very popular school with families in the local area and beyond and consequently we are
heavily oversubscribed.
