HEADTEACHER / HEAD OF SCHOOL - THE DOWNS PRIMARY SCHOOL AND NURSERY
Required September 2022
(January 2023 start available to the right candidate)
Salary: L11- L24
We are seeking an outstanding teacher and an inspirational leader for the position of Headteacher / Head of School at The Downs Primary School and Nursery.
The Downs Primary School and Nursery is part of Passmores Co-operative Learning Community (PCLC), working alongside successful primary schools and a secondary school within the same town.
The trust is focussed on community well being and growth. Following on from the really challenging few years it is even more important that we continue to ensure the young people leave with the knowledge and skills to be a success at secondary school and beyond. However, it is also vital that we nurture and develop the whole child. As a Co-operative trust we subscribe to the values that develop rounded and empathetic young people that will give back to the world more than they take.
PCLC trust is fully committed to caring for and supporting the well-being of all its pupils and staff, especially its team of headteachers providing a range of opportunities, including:
Weekly, dedicated leadership time that can be taken at home
Regular, face to face mentoring from our Executive Headteacher and the opportunity to be a buddy with another senior leader in the trust
Regular opportunities to meet with and work alongside our other experienced Headteachers in the town.
Monthly meetings with the CEO and other trust leaders
In school, face to face, supervision sessions with our school based, independent counsellors
In addition, all staff working across the PCLC are fortunate to access additional support through our wellbeing provider which include:
Counselling
CBT
Physiotherapy
Stress Management
