Our Outdoor Nature Nursery, situated on the idyllic Blackwater Estuary landscape, requires a passionate and suitably-qualified Senior Nursery Practitioner. Our nature nursery creates an environment that will inspire children to be confident, curious and independent learners, developing a rich and lifelong love and understanding of the natural world.
As the Third in Charge Nature Nursery Practitioner, the post holder will support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager in running the first outdoor Nature Nursery run by Essex Wildlife Trust. Our pioneering outdoor nursery provides exceptional holistic childcare for 2-5 year-olds based on learning through nature and inspired by the Scandinavian approach.
Set in the beautiful grounds of Abbotts Hall, our nature nursery creates an environment that will inspire children to be confident, curious and independent learners, developing a rich and lifelong love and understanding of the natural world. Children have an opportunity to play in the woodland, explore in the meadow and collect fruit from the orchard. They can grow their own vegetables and tend to the chickens in the garden, all within secure boundaries. It is essential that applicants have knowledge of the statutory EYFS requirements, hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification with substantial experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and an understanding of learning needs. We welcome applications from those who also hold a Level 2 or 3 Forest School leader with experience of delivering Forest School.
