Due to the retirement of our highly experienced and successful Finance Officer, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and effective successor to join our busy school office. Our new Finance Officer will be well organised, motivated and have a strong commitment to supporting the school's visions, working closely alongside the Office Manager and with the Headteacher, staff and Governing Body. Main areas of responsibility include

· Managing all financial matters in accordance with the school's Financial Regulations including budget preparation, monitoring and governor reporting.

· Day to day running of the school finance systems including ordering, processing invoices and bank reconciliations.

· HR and personnel functions including payroll, recruitment, pre-employment checks, issuing contracts and making cover arrangements for staff absences

· Experience and understanding of school financial processes and knowledge of SIMS FMS (desirable)

The working hours for this post will be 37 hours per week, over five days, and 41 weeks
