St John's is a co-educational Independent School for pupils aged between 2 and 16 years. We are proud of our sporting provision and offer you the opportunity to join our successful school. We have a purpose built Sports Hall designed to Sport England specification and substantial outdoor areas. The school highly values its programme of extra-curricular enrichment activities and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to this.

The successful candidate must:
· Be able to teach across the key stages with children aged between 3 and 16 years of age.
· Have experience of teaching GCSE Physical Education.
· Be able to teach a range of sports across the curriculum (including trampolining, netball and football)
· Be an enthusiastic and committed practitioner who wants to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning and who expects excellence from students.
· A collaborative and motivated individual who will teach the subject though a variety of innovative approaches in a way that develops confidence amongst our pupil.
· A strong team player who forms excellent relationships with staff, parents and students
· Be committed to take an active role in developing and contributing to a well-established extra-curricular program.
· Be committed to arranging and attending sporting fixtures.

This is a part time position, and subject to the completion of a successful initial probationary year, will lead to a permanent position. The position is for three days or four days a week. Please indicate your preference on the application form. The days of work will be dependent on our timetable and the allocation of the three days may differ in subsequent years depending on the yearly timetable.
