Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher who will promote the achievement and wellbeing of our pupils who have severe, moderate and complex needs. You may already be an experienced teacher but NQTs are welcome to apply. You will have responsibility for a class group as well as leading a curriculum area as part of a team.
Ofsted has graded us a Good School with outstanding EYFS and Safeguarding provision.
Harlow Fields is a school for 160 pupils between the ages of 3-19 with a range of needs.
Previous experience of working in a special needs setting is not essential. We are looking for someone that is passionate about working with children and is willing to support our vision of Working Together to Succeed.
You will need:
The ability to create a clear vision for your class, within the department and school
The skills to develop the pupils to their full potential
To have a strong track record of outstanding teaching
To be able to assess pupils knowledge and understanding, scaffolding their next steps accurately
To have high expectations of pupils and experience of raising achievement
Understand the complexities of SEN pupils
