We are looking to appoint a Nursery Assistant for our large Infant and Nursery school. Hamstel Infant School and Nursery prides itself on being a child focused, caring, inclusive community; one in which all stakeholders views are valued. The successful applicant will hold a relevant level 2 qualification and have significant experience of working in a Nursery environment. This position would be ideal for someone looking to enter a school nursery environment as it would provide invaluable experience of working with children within a school setting. We are an inclusive nurturing school with excellent facilities for Outdoor Learning.
The main scope of the job will be:
To work in partnership with other adults in the Nursery to support social, emotional, educational and welfare needs of nursery / early years children in line with early years goals, codes of practice and school policies and procedures. Duties will include:
· Shared responsibility for safety, health and welfare of children at all times
· Organising materials and equipment for use within the nursery
· Contributing to curriculum development ensuring a stimulating environment
· Ensuring all children have access to the full curriculum.
