A rare opportunity has arisen for the position of School Caretaker at Colchester County High School for Girls.
The position is for 37 hours per week, full-time for 52 weeks with 24 days' holiday rising to 27 days after 5 years' service.
The successful candidate will work within a small team under the direction of the Site Team Leader in all aspects of caretaking and site maintenance duties.
They will also be a reliable and flexible team player able to contribute to the smooth running of the school working a shift pattern including evenings and may occasionally require weekend working.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check by the DBS. All applications must be submitted on the support staff application form and accompanied by a covering letter, addressed to the Executive Principal.
Information about the School
Colchester County High School for Girls is part of Alpha Trust. It is a selective state school for academically able students aged from 11 to 18 years which consistently achieves public examination results at the highest level and Ofsted "Outstanding". Admission to the school is via the 11+ examination in Year 7; the school also admits academic students into the Sixth Form. The school is lead for the North East Essex Teaching School Alliance and Colchester Teacher Training Consortium is based on the site. Situated a mile to the west of central Colchester, the school is set in its own extensive grounds on a large, quiet campus.
