Science technician responsible for Physics preparation

Scale 4 points 6-7

37 hours a week. Term time plus non pupil days.

Required to start October/November 2021

We have an exciting opportunity for a Science Technician, to join our Science faculty for the new academic year. The role is an integral post in the development of the Physics preparation for the educational provision we offer our students. The Boswells School Science Faculty, comprising of 11 teachers a Senior Technician in charge of Chemistry preparation and a Biology technician. We seek an energetic and enthusiastic technician who has experience of electrical knowledge to join this vibrant and successful faculty to assist and support in the delivery of a range of Physics activities, practicals and demonstrations. This is required across all three key stages which are delivered.

The school boasts excellent facilities for the Science faculty with:

  • 11 purpose built Science laboratories
  • 2 preparation rooms.

The Boswells School is a large 11-18 secondary school that serves the area of north Chelmsford. The school is an extremely popular, over-subscribed convertor academy that enjoys an excellent reputation in the local and wider community.
