We are looking for an experienced room leader / deputy manager in a well established private day nursery
The successful candidate will;
Be a motivating role model to our early years educators and support the manager with running our nursery based in Canvey Island.
Have a minimum Level 3 Early years education and childcare qualification or equivelent.
Have experience of leading and supporting a team and the manager in the daily running of the setting.
Have excellent written and verbal english and a good understanding of childrens development together with the EYFS curricullum (2021).
Exceelent communication skills with children, staff and parents.
Be a key person responsible for childrens learning and development, planning and record keeping, and to support other key persons.
Have a good working knowledge of safeguarding including Prevent and FGM (level 3 would be an advantage).
Knowledge of SEND and first aid is desirable.
Knowledge of Tapestry online learning journal preferred.
Be available to work between 7.30 am and 7pm Monday to Friday
Occasional evening or saturday training / staff meetings
The post is a minimum of 20 hours per week (with the possiblility of more) dependent on operational needs and shift patterns.
The successful applicant must be able to undertake and provide a clear enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
