The Basildon Academies are two ambitious Academies operating across two sites. The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our students aged 11-14 whilst the Upper Academy specialises in our 14-19 year old student populations. The Academies are approximately 1 mile apart.

We are seeking to appoint a forward thinking, organised leader who will lead and line manage and strategically oversee the site service teams as follows:

  • Premises
  • Catering
  • Cleaning
  • Administration

The Assistant Director of Operations will work in conjunction with the heads of these departments to ensure the most effective use of resources in support of the schools objectives, promote the highest standards of business ethos and ensure the school meets its educational aims. The successful candidate will take on strategic responsibility to ensure that the systems in place provide the school with efficient and effective service delivery and compliance with statutory and legislative requirements.

The successful candidate will have significant management experience and a track record of delivering operational goals. They will demonstrate clear vision and innovation, have the ability to work under pressure and have excellent interpersonal skills and personal integrity in supporting the Director of Finance & Operations.

The role is band 8 FTE £42,072, hours as follows:

37 hours per week (7:30am- 3:30 pm) Monday to Friday, 39 Weeks Term Time & 3 Weeks Non- Term Time. Actual Salary £38,512.
