Senior LSA: Engagement for Learning Team at Langham Oaks School
Actual Salary: £15,903 to £16,440 pa
Langham Oaks is a school for boys, providing a very special type of education to students who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. It is part-residential and places are available for some of the boys who wish to stayfor all or part ofthe week between Monday and Thursday.
The school has just moved to a brand new purpose-built provision within its current grounds in the quiet village of Langham, near Colchester. We have all been very excited about the move, especially the students, who now have full use of the new classrooms with their special curriculum-related facilities.
At this already exciting time, we nowfind ourselves witha rare opportunity for the right person to join the School as a Senior LSA in Langham Oaks'Engagement for Learning Team.TheEngagement for Learning Team comprisesa small group of pastoral staffwho are dedicated to ensuring that students leave Langham ready and well-equipped for the next stage of their journeys. This role offers insight into pupil welfare and engagement in the learning process and will widen the knowledge and experience of existing LSAs. No prior experience of SEMH is necessary, as full training will be given and it is a unique opportunity to enhance your support skill set.
The work is challenging, but highly rewarding and, as Langham Oaks is part of the SEAX Trust, you will be supported not only by the knowledge and expertise of your immediate colleagues, but also by the staff in the Trust's Central Team.
