Cover Supervisor

Term time only 32.5 hours per week

Permanent contract

Scale 4/5 dependent on experience

We are looking for a classroom Cover Supervisor to join our small friendly school as soon as possible. The post involves managing students in class, making sure discipline is upheld, and ensuring that students carry out tasks in order to minimise the effect of the teacher's absence upon the students' learning

Main Responsibilities:

To give instructions within a lesson as provided by a teacher, maintain good order and keep students ontask.

Respond to general questions and provide general feedback to teachers.

Supervise students engaged in learning activities.

Act as a role model and set high expectations of conduct and behaviour.

Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom

Keep students on task and respond to general queries.

The Deanes is well situated in South East Essex, with good links to public transport. We are situated within ten minutes of Benfleet and Rayleigh Rail Stations, where a 45 minute train journey will take you into London. There is also ample car parking onsite.
