Learning Support Assistant

Pay Range: Scale 3 (£18,426-£18,795) (plus Inner Fringe) pro rata

Actual Pay: £10,227.09-£10,630.47 per annum (£856.42-£885.87 per month) bsed on 22.5 hours

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, nurturing and flexible Learning Support Assistant to join our committed team. Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide support and guidance to pupils in ensuring their learning, social, emotional mental health needs are supported in order to meet their full potential
  • To work under the direction of our Inclusion Leader, implementing individual and small group interventions

The successful candidate must have Key Stage 2 and positive behaviour management experience. In addition, we expect that the successful candidate will have a recognised NVQ in Teaching and Learning in Schools or proven equivalent experience, as well as the relevant safeguarding training. Please note that only applicants with the relevant experience will be considered for the post.

This will be a fixed term contract for 22.5-30.5 hours initially until 26/03/2021 but may be extended subject to funding. Working hours will be between the hours of 8.45am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday (with 30-minute lunch break). Working pattern will be discussed and finalised during the interview process.
