Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Contract: Fixed Term ending 31st August 2021

Hours per week: 22 hours and 30 minutes per week (38 weeks - Term time only)

Scale: 3

Point: 4-5 (dependent on experience)

Salary: £19,559.00 - £19,938.00 (per annum including fringe allowance)

£9,877.44 - £10,068.84 per annum pro rata

Close Date: Saturday 31st October 2020

Bardfield Academy is looking to appoint a passionate Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, enthusiastic person who enjoys using their own initiative and will be predominately be working alongside year 2 to assist with pupil catch up requirements.

The hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be skilled at delivering phonic interventions to KS1
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Be caring, patient and empathetic.
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills with GCSE Literacy and Numeracy grades A-C.
