Brightlingsea is a small town with a lot to give. We have one large primary school, that has recently amalgamated from Infant and Junior Schools. This is your opportunity to make your mark on the local community and lead a school that is in its exciting early stages of development.
Our school has a dedicated team who need a talented and inspirational leader to spearhead our continuing journey, by bringing to our school a clear and transformative vision.
Do you have:
A passion for education and a desire to make a real difference to children?
Energy and drive and the skill to communicate at all levels?
Directional leadership, with an ability to hear the voices of staff and provide a clear path?
The ability to provide rich and varied curriculum to drive academic progress?
A sense of humour?!
We will give you a strong and supportive governing and staffing body, with a wider community that is willing to get involved in projects, such as building our outdoor learning space with a dedicated science area. Our successful nursery feeds into our reception, providing a consistent early years' pathway. Our children are, of course, lovely - and willing to learn and be engaged.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher in a large school who is ready to make the move up. Is it you?
Information about the School
In September 2018, Brightlingsea Infant School & Nursery and Brightlingsea Junior School became Brightlingsea Primary School and Nursery. We are a large Primary School, taking children from 2 to 11 years, with a three form entry and approximately 750 children on roll. This is an exciting time for our school and we are looking to further improve outcomes for our children and families. As a large school we are able to offer some exciting opportunities for staff: we recognise the importance of professional development and believe in investing in staff to help us to achieve our vision.
We are an inclusive school and strive to deliver a fully accessible social and academic curriculum. Our aim is for all pupils to achieve their full potential. We provide a welcoming, caring and supportive environment, which allows children to develop socially, emotionally and academically. All our staff play an important part in children's development. Parents are actively encouraged to take a vested interest in the school, so that together, school, parents and children can work together in partnership.
