Clerk to the Governing Board
Scale 5 Point 8 - 11 £10.34 - £10.97 per hour
(FTE £19,945 - £21,166 pa)
Hours as & when. Flexibility required. Early morning, evening & some home working.
Riverside Primary School is looking to appoint a highly organised, pro-active and self-motivated individual with a professional mindset and effective communication skills to provide full support to the Governing Board. Throughout the academic year, applicants must be able to attend approximately 4 full Board meetings; 8 sub-Committee meetings; and other ad-hoc meetings and events as may reasonably be required.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational, communication and IT skills and outstanding literacy skills. They will also have the ability to work accurately, under time constraints and, occasionally, under pressure. In addition, they will have high levels of personal integrity and an ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. They will ensure the smooth running of meetings - preparing meeting agendas and papers; circulating them in advance of meetings; taking accurate minutes; advising Chair/Vice Chair/Governors on administrative/legal considerations where appropriate.; and keeping Governors abreast of responsibilities and duties, along with changes to the educational landscape (both actual and proposed). They will provide full administrative support to the Governing Board.
This is a public facing role and the successful candidate must speak fluent English.

Riverside Primary School, situated 500m from the River Crouch, opened in September 2010 when the Infant and Junior schools amalgamated. We are very proud to be an integral part of the village of Hullbridge, building and enjoying strong links with other schools, local businesses and members of our local community.
