We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious and skilled classroom practitioner with a passion for English to lead a strong team to even greater heights. The department consistently achieve outstanding results and we wish to appoint an exceptional individual who has the necessary drive, expertise and inspirational attributes to improve outcomes further. English outcomes at Key Stage 4 are strong with 88% of pupils gaining either English Literature or Language at grade 4 in 2019. At grade 5 the figure was 69%.
The applicant must be able to nurture a passion for studying Language and Literature at all levels of ability and be an individual committed to the highest expectations of attainment for all. The English curriculum is well considered and provides an extremely solid base from which to extend the 'inspirational learning' mantra of the school. English classrooms are well resourced with an innovative design to facilitate collaborative and active learning.
