Head Science Technician
Required as soon as possible
We are seeking to appoint a Head Science Technician to join our team of support staff. within the Science Faculty at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form. Your role will be to help raise the profile of science within the school. You will support staff and students by the preparation of resources, maintenance of equipment and in-class support within this subject area to facilitate the delivery of outstanding lessons by teachers.
The post is for 37 hours per week during term time including non-student days, plus 5 working days within the closure period. Starting salary for this role will be Essex Schools' Pay Scale 5, point 8 (Actual starting salary £17,366.76)
What we are looking for:
- A senior science technician with a proven track record of managing the support of science in a large secondary school
- An enthusiastic, pro-active and creative person
- Strong organisational skills
- A good communicator with a flexible approach
- Someone who would enjoy working with students of all ages and abilities
