Learning Support Assistant/Lunchtime Assistant - 22 1/2 hours per week

We are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant with a positive attitude. They will be required to support with class learning as well as interventions.
The successful candidate must be able to stay calm under pressure, and have the ability to use their own initiative when dealing with emotionally and physically challenging situations. They must be flexible and willing to undergo training and attend regular meetings.
To supervise pupils for limited and specified periods including break-times when the post holder should facilitate games and activities
Daily lunchtime duties
The successful applicant will:
Hold successful experience working with children in a school/early years environment
Good reading, writing and maths skills (GCSE A-C or equivalent)
Be educated to NVQ Level 2 in learning support/early years, NNEB or equivalent qualification/experience
Be resilient and have a positive "can do" attitude (initiative, flexibility, proactive approach) and can encourage children to achieve to the best of their ability.
Have a calm and caring manner along with a good sense of humour.
Be able to work as part of a team under the direction of the Class Teacher/SENCo
