Speech and Language Therapist (Band D)
Part time post
Band D (negotiable dependant on qualifications and experience)
Days - 2-3 days a week (negotiable)

Treetops Specialist School and College is a special needs school for pupils aged from 5-25 with a range of learning disabilities including autism spectrum disorder. Treetops has an excellent record and reputation for excellence. We have had three very successful and positive OFSTED inspections (March 07, March 2010 and December 2015 - Outstanding overall) and received the National Schools Curriculum Award and two successive Excellence Awards from the DfES. The school also achieved Teaching School Status in 2013.
We are looking for one qualified speech and language therapist to join our enthusiastic team of Speech and Language Therapists working primarily in the MLD department developing the communication skills of our pupils through 1-1 intervention, group intervention, implementing total communication and providing advice and guidance to staff and parents. There will always be opportunities to meet with other professionals and have meetings with teams from the NHS and also to provide Outreach support to other provisions in Thurrock. We would welcome applications from people with energy, patience and a genuine commitment to working with children with a wide range of complex learning difficulties. This role will offer clinical supervision.
