We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational SENDCo to work for three or four days per week, starting in April 2020, or earlier if possible. The role will be non-class based and the SENDCO will be responsible for: leading and managing SEND and inclusion in the school including: supporting planning and implementation of interventions and appropriate SEND support across the school as well as working closely with families, analysing data to ensure progress and impact of support and liaising with outside agencies.

We are looking for an inspiring SENDCo who is passionate about children with SEND and expects the highest possible standards whilst supporting them to achieve their full potential. Our new SENDCo will join a committed and hardworking team who strive to provide the best education and outcomes for all children.

Part of the day to day role of the SENDCo includes line managing the Teaching Assistants within the school, assisting with the planning of their timetables and performance management.

Previous SENDCo experience is preferable and the candidate should have a teaching qualification.

The successful candidate will need:

· to be able to take a strong lead in the areas of SEN and inclusion across the school

· to have a thorough knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice

· to ensure that effective support enables all children to succeed

· high expectations for all children's attainment and behaviour

· excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

· to be able to work collaboratively as part of a team

· experience with working closely with parents, families and external agencies

· to be highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic

· Support all aspects of the school's work

· A retention allowance of £1,200 per annum after one year's service

· A TLR allowance of £4,630 per annum (FTE)

· We also reimburse the cost of the Toll for The Dartford Crossing

Information about the School

Kenningtons Primary Academy is a stand alone Academy for 3 to 11 year olds, located in the heart of the Kenningtons Estate in Aveley, Essex. We serve a diverse community and welcome all children who live in the local area. The school accommodates 60 children in each year group.

We are proud of the high standards we set for the pupils and staff. Through an innovative approach we ensure that the children can be the best they can be. We place equal emphasis on academic achievement, personal development and sporting achievement to name but a few. We offer wrap around care, from 7.30am to 6pm, through our breakfast club and after school provision. Our nursery is open from 8.45am until 3.30pm offering 30 hour provision to those who qualify, or as a paid offer.

We have an ever developing and impressive site. Our nature garden, woodland area, allotments and animal zone with chickens offer our children a unique experience. Our classrooms are large and modern, providing a learning environment fit for the 21st Century.
