SEN Learning Support Assistant
Fixed Term until 31st August 2020
based at; Thameside Primary School
Manor Road, Grays, Essex SS17 0DF
Required: ASAP - Fixed Term Contract
Band 2 (Depending on experience) - Actual Salary: from £11,216
28 hours 20 minutes per week
8.50am - 3.20pm - Term Time Only (30 mins lunch break & 20 Coffee break)
Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust wishes to appoint a SEN Learning Support Assistant committed to raising standards at Thameside Primary School, who were judged to be a 'good school' following an Ofsted inspection in October 2018. Our aim is to provide an outstanding education for all of our children.
You will work in partnership with class teachers, to support learning in line with the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, codes of practice, school policies and procedures. We offer the opportunity of working in a school with:

The candidates will preferably have relevant NVQ qualifications or equivalent and they must have a good standard of English and Mathematics as well as basic computer skills.
Desirable criteria: Strong behaviour management skills
· Experience of supporting pupils with a range of needs e.g. Asperger's, Autism, ADHD, speech and / or language difficulties
· Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs
· Flexible and adaptable with timetabling and the daily routines
· Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups
· Ability to be able to differentiate the work based on individual needs
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to liaise with parents and relevant staff
· Personal Care
