School Caretaker
Salary Range: £20,077 to £22,167 per annum
Full time - 38.75 hours a week
We wish to appoint a dedicated and proactive School Caretaker to start in October 2019.
Our new School Caretaker will be energetic, enthusiastic and will take great pride in how our school looks and functions.
You will have good range of skills and experience including building and grounds maintenance, general painting and repairs. You will also be required to respond to incidents around the school on a daily basis such as cleaning up accidents and spillages, setting up/clearing away of certain equipment (eg chairs and staging) and porterage.
You will be able to communicate effectively with a range of people including children, staff, parents, visitors and contractors and have a good awareness of health and safety issues. You will be approachable, well motivated and be able to work on your own initiative.
Our School Caretaker will be required to open up each weekday morning at 6.30am and finish at 3.15pm after handing over to the Cleaner in charge who comes on site at 3pm. There will be occasions when you will be required to stay later on an overtime basis and also cover some weekday evening and weekend lettings.
Holidays will generally be taken in term time as school closure periods are particularly busy, although this is negotiable.
