Term time only plus non-pupil days and 10 days summer holiday working
Scale 5 to 6, dependent upon experience
Actual Salary - £17,787 (£19,945 FTE) to £19,253 (£21,589 FTE)
An opportunity has arisen for the position of Pastoral Assistant to start in September 2019 to provide support to students and parents in terms of positive behaviour, attitude, attendance, physical wellbeing and pastoral care to enable students to make relevant progress and engage in their learning.
The successful applicant will be a committed team player with strong administrative and interpersonal skills. In addition, to provide administrative support to the Pastoral Leadership Team.
A working knowledge of a school environment, policies and procedures would be a distinct advantage as well as experience of dealing with external agencies.

Colchester County High School for Girls is part of Alpha Trust. It is a selective state school for academically able students aged from 11 to 18 years which consistently achieves public examination results at the highest level and Ofsted "Outstanding". Admission to the school is via the 11+ examination in Year 7; the school also admits academic students into the Sixth Form. The school is lead for the North East Essex Teaching School Alliance and Colchester Teacher Training Consortium is based on the site. Situated a mile to the west of central Colchester, the school is set in its own extensive grounds on a large, quiet campus.
