Salary:Local Government Pay Scale Band 4-Point 19 to Point 24 (£3,311 to £3,741 actual salary)
The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is looking to appoint a Clerk to the Board of Trustees. The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is an emerging Multi-Academy Trust based in Springfield, Chelmsford. There are 7 schools in the trust and the Board of Trustees provides outstanding governance to support the work of the trust and the work of the outstanding staff in our schools.
We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to provide professional clerking services to our Board of Trustees. The role will include providing advice to the trustees on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and provide effective administrative support. The role will also involve clerking for some of the Local Governing Bodies in our trust.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work independently whilst, at the same time, be able to form effective relationships with trustees and school staff. This post will work on a flexible basis so the successful candidate must be able to organise their own time and work to strict deadlines. A knowledge of multi academy trust and governing body procedures and previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Information about the School
The Chelmsford Learning Partnership (CLP) is an emerging multi-academy trust based in Springfield, Chelmsford. The trust was formerly known as The Boswells Academy Trust but changed name in late 2017 to reflect the growth of the trust beyond one school. There are currently 8 schools across Essex in the CLP multi academy trust.
The schools in the CLP are: Barnes Farm Infant School, Barnes Farm Junior School, Lakelands Primary School, Perryfields Infant School, Roding Valley High School, The Beaulieu Park School, The Boswells School and The Tyrrells Primary School.
