Wishes to appoint a
Lead HLTA - Alternative Provision
Based at Thameside Primary School,
Manor Road, Grays, Essex RM17 6EF
Required Sept 2019 until Aug 2020
(1 Year Fixed Term Contract)
37 hours per week. Term Time, plus Inset days
Band 5 (Depending on experience)
We are looking to appoint a talented and ambitious Alternative Provision Lead who can motivate and challenge pupils in a specialist-learning environment. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of working with specific learning difficulties and a variety of behavior management strategies to support children with challenging behaviours.
Duties include:
· Ability to plan and deliver lessons of core and foundation subjects
· Monitor and review progress, report writing and record keeping
Effectively promote and reinforce positivity and social development by providing students with access to a variety of resources and new methods of learning
Asses and meet need, so that the behaviour of students is conducive to learning
To promote and maintain a calm working environment for students, including implementing the schools behaviour policy
Ensure the health and safety of students is maintained at all times
· Effective communication with staff in order to develop progress and manage behavior accordingly
· Liaise closely with all stakeholders to ensure progress of students within the unit
